August 31-September 3, 2016. VanGeem attended an ISO TC59 SC17 (Sustainability in Building and Civil Engineering Works) work group meeting in Reykjavik, Iceland. 

June 23-29, 2016. VanGeem attended ASHRAE meetings in St. Louis, specifically SSPC 90.1 (energy efficiency standard for nonresidential buildings), SSPC 90.2 (energy efficiency of residential buildings) and SSPC 189.1 (high performance green buildings). 

June 13-17, 2016. VanGeem attended and presented at the International Concrete Conference on Sustainability and attended an ISO TC59 SC17 (Sustainability in Building and Civil Engineering Works) work group meeting in Madrid.

October 27-31, 2014. VanGeem attended the ISO TC59 SC17 (Sustainability in Buildings and Civil Engineering Works) plenary and working group meetings in Toronto. 

October 15-18, 2014. VanGeem attended the interim ASHRAE 90.1 meeting in Atlanta. The committee approved building envelope addenda for public review for the new Climate Zone 0 for very hot climates such as Singapore and Dubai. 

June 27-July 2, 2014. VanGeem attended ASHRAE meetings in Seattle, specifically SSPC 90.1, SSPC 90.2, and SSPC 189.1 meetings. She was the recipient of the ASHRAE Distinguished Service Award.

April 27-May 2, 2014. VanGeem attended International Green Construction Code (IgCC) hearings in Memphis. 

April 7-10, 2014. VanGeem attended ASTM E60 meetings on sustainability in Toronto.

February 19, 2014. VanGeem attended ASHRAE's Residential Construction Market Stakeholders Workshop near DC. 

February 4-5, 2014. VanGeem attended the American Coal Ash Association meeting in Albuquerque and presented on Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and Product Category Rules (PCRs). 

January 17-22, 2013. VanGeem attended the ASHRAE winter meeting in New York City. 

December 5-10, 2013. VanGeem attended ISO TC59 SC17 (Sustainability in Buildings and Civil Engineering Works) working group meetings in Berlin. 

October 21-24, 2013. VanGeem attended ASTM E60 (sustainability) meetings in Jacksonville, FL. She presented on ASHRAE Standard 189.1 on High Performance Green Buildings and was part of a panel discussion at a seminar on sustainability standards. She participated in meetings on the development of standards and is chair of the U.S. TAG to for ISO TC59 SC 17. 

October 4-9, 2013. VanGeem attended and testified at the Public Comment Hearings of the International Code Council (ICC) for the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) in Atlantic City, NJ. 

June 21-26, 2013. VanGeem attended the ASHRAE annual meeting in Denver, Colorado, specifically SSPC 90.1, SSPC 90.2, and SSPC 189.1 meetings. She was the recipient of the 2013 ASHRAE Standards Achievement Award.

May 27-29, 2013. VanGeem presented three technical papers and was a session chair at the First International Conference on Concrete Sustainability in Tokyo, Japan. 

April 21-29, 2013. VanGeem attended and testified at the Committee Action Hearings of the International Code Council (ICC) for the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). 

April 15-18, 2013. VanGeem attended ASTM E60 (sustainability) meetings in Indianapolis. 

October 22-25, 2012. VanGeem attended the ASTM meetings in Atlanta. 

October 8, 2012. VanGeem testified at the Energy Technical Advisory Committee meeting of the Florida Building Commission in Daytona, Florida. 

June 18, 2012. VanGeem attended the International Standards Organization (ISO) TC 71 SC8 meeting on Environmental Management of Concrete and Concrete Structures in San Jose, Costa Rica as a U.S. Delegate.

March 18-20, 2012. VanGeem received the award of Fellow from the American Concrete Institute at their Spring Convention in Dallas, Texas.
